Manager Digital Platforms & AI
(m/f/d)
To support the development and expansion of our digital platform ecosystem, we are looking for a Manager Digital Platforms & AI (m/f/d) to join our team in Munich at the earliest possible date. The position is initially offered as a two-year fixed-term contract, with the possibility of becoming permanent.
In an era of profound global changes, as a non-profit organization, Siemens Stiftung is committed to sustainable social development. Together with individuals and communities, we create opportunities to actively shape social and ecological transformation.
Our international work focuses on three key areas of action: Essential Services, Digitality, and Climate. We collectively address challenges in these fields and harness them as opportunities for innovation and positive impact. Through our projects in education, social entrepreneurship, and culture, we promote access and participation, strengthen future-oriented competencies, and enable shared learning. By leveraging interdisciplinary approaches, we connect local actions with global perspectives to cultivate resilience, social cohesion, and regenerative practices.
Siemens Stiftung is currently undertaking a comprehensive transformation of its digital learning platforms. Our goal is to build an integrated, future-ready platform ecosystem for learning, knowledge sharing, and content distribution, including the integration of AI-powered capabilities.
To lead the functional and technical coordination of this transformation, we are seeking an experienced professional with a strong track record in digital platforms, program delivery, and cross-functional coordination. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, you will oversee the development of our digital platform ecosystem – from defining business requirements and guiding architecture and technology decisions through to successful implementation.
A key focus of this role is the functional and technical management of our external agency. You will prioritize requirements, coordinate dependencies, and ensure that the target architecture, technical standards, and implementation activities remain fully aligned throughout the project. At the same time, you will help build lasting internal capabilities within Siemens Stiftung and establish a sustainable operating model for our digital platforms.
This role combines hands-on execution with strategic leadership. You will work closely with the Executive Board, our business units, and our cross-functional Digital Transformation Team (“DTT”) to facilitate key technology decisions and lay the foundation for a scalable, resilient, and future-ready digital platform ecosystem. In this role, you will report directly to the Executive Board and the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Your responsibilities:

Learning Platforms & AI
- Provide technical guidance for and further develop our digital learning platforms (in collaboration with the respective platform owners)
- Evaluate AI technologies from a technical perspective and advise on their integration into existing platform architectures
- Develop requirements and use cases (e.g., personalization, content, and digital assistance systems) in collaboration with business units and the DTT

- Evaluate proposals submitted by the external agency and develop well-founded recommendations for action
- Further develop the platform roadmap beyond go-live in collaboration with the involved business units and stakeholders
Your profile:

- Experience developing and evolving digital platform ecosystems, particularly at the intersection of content, distribution, integrations, and international requirements
- Strong understanding of current developments in artificial intelligence (AI) and their application in learning, content, and personalization
- Excellent ability to prioritize, structure, and make decisions in complex environments
- Strong project management skills with experience delivering complex digital projects, including planning, execution, and risk management
