Climate Change Education Dialogue: Building Common Ground for Climate Change Education, Funding, and Action
London Climate Action Week 2026: Climate Change Education Dialogue
Siemens Stiftung (foundation), the Office for Climate Education (OCE, a Paris based UNESCO Center), and the International Education Funders Group (IEFG) invite you to participate in the Climate Change Education Dialogue at the London Climate Action Week. This workshop brings together a select group of representatives from foundations, philanthropy, and the wider funding community for a focused discussion on how Climate Change Education can be strengthened as a field of practice.
Investing in youth, teachers and skills for a changing world
While a wide range of organisations are advancing important work in the field, opportunities remain limited for structured exchange between practitioners and those actors who can help strengthen enabling conditions for long-term development and impact.
With a focus on Climate Change Education Dialogue: Building Common Ground for Climate Change Education, Funding, and Action, the workshop on 25.06. seeks to:
- Consolidate efforts
- Support Structures
- Create greater visibility
- Facilitate cross-sectoral strategic alignment
Jointly led by Siemens Stiftung and OCE, the dialogue leverages the complementary strengths of both organisations, their extensive experience in implementing Climate Change Education across Latin America and Africa, and their expertise in convening stakeholders, field-building, and fostering cross-sector collaborations.
We greatly value your active participation in creating a focused working space for in-depth exchange, strategic reflection, and paving the way for further collaborations. Your experience, strategic insight, and institutional role can help inform a more coherent support architecture for Climate Change Education.
The deliberations and outcome will feed into a policy brief for practitioners, policy makers, NGOs, foundations, and funders. This will contribute to wider discussions at the New York Climate Week in September 2026. Therefore, the dialogue is designed as a focused exchange that takes a step toward building a more credible and connected platform at the intersection of climate, education, and philanthropy.
