Sustainable & Inclusive E-Mobility Catalyzer

The Sustainable & Inclusive E-Mobility Catalyzer recognizes enterprises that are already addressing critical challenges along the e-mobility value chain with market-tested solutions. Through financial support and a dedicated growth programme, Siemens Stiftung and its partners help selected enterprises strengthen their operational and financial models and prepare their solutions for wider impact. The award-winning enterprises demonstrate how locally adapted business models can make electric mobility more accessible, reliable and inclusive.

Four solutions for a sustainable mobility transition in East Africa

Silent Savannah

Silent Savannah is reducing diesel dependence in remote tourism and conservation areas. Its solution combines electric safari vehicles with off-grid solar charging and second-life EV batteries. Deployments are already underway, demonstrating that electric mobility can operate reliably in demanding environments.

Ebikes Africa

Ebikes Africa is improving access to electric delivery mobility through its digital platform beba.ai. The platform connects riders, fleet operators, asset owners, financiers and commercial clients. It already supports thousands of deliveries each month while generating data that can unlock future financing and ownership opportunities.

Kiri EV

Kiri EV is making electric motorcycles more accessible to riders. Its vehicles support home and plug-in charging, offering greater flexibility and reducing dependence on dedicated charging networks. The company also works with cooperatives, financiers, distributors and charging partners to improve access to financing and ownership.

E-Safari

E-Safiri is expanding e-mobility infrastructure in rural and peri-urban communities. Its solar-powered Safiri Hubs offer charging, battery swapping and access to electric motorcycles and cargo loaders. With several hubs already operating in Western Kenya, the company is showing how clean transport can work beyond major cities.
