Indo-German collaboration advances education and innovation for school students in India
Experimento India was spotlighted at the panel, “Nurturing Scientific Talent in India: Indo-German Cooperation in Education, Innovation and Skills,” in New Delhi.

“STEM Education for Innovation: Experimento India” delivers free digital Open Learning Resources (OER). It is integrated into Siemens Limited’s Project Jigyaasa to strengthen STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) learning outcomes in alignment with India’s National Curriculum Framework, promoting equitable access. At a high-level panel hosted by the German Embassy in New Delhi today, Experimento India and Project Jigyasa, a curiosity-based learning initiative of Siemens Limited, were acknowledged for their powerful complementarity in advancing the future-readiness of school students from weaker economic sections.
In 2024, Siemens Stiftung (Foundation) entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Siemens Limited and Pratham Education Foundation to deploy Experimento India in schools and communities.
Targeted and tailored to the diverse needs of students from low-income communities, Experimento India’s OERs are available in English, Hindi, and Marathi. In 15 months, the platform has recorded more than 155,000 views, indicating strong engagement and uptake of the STEM learning resources.

Co-developed by Indian STEM experts and teachers, the project now offers over 250 OERs in students’ mother tongues. By leveraging technology to provide open and locally relevant STEM learning resources, Experimento India is ensuring that every child, regardless of background, has an early head start to navigate and excel in the face of digital, societal, and environmental transformations.”
Advancing education and skills
To drive real systemic change, the project is implemented beyond the classroom, engaging teachers, parents and entire communities to create a true multiplier effect. Teachers are trained to effectively integrate OERs in Marathi and English into their lessons. By strengthening teachers’ capacity and involving parents to support learning at home, we are expanding the impact far beyond individual schools.

Partnerships enhance education equity
The project was spotlighted as a flagship model for strengthening STEM learning in students’ formative years at the strategic panel, “Nurturing Scientific Talent in India: Indo-German Cooperation in Education, Innovation and Skills.” The German Ambassador to India, H.E. Dr. Philipp Ackermann, delivered the opening remarks on the panel, which convened leaders from government, business, academia and civil society.
The panel, built on the Indo-German Comprehensive Roadmap on Higher Education, adopted by German Federal Chancellor Friedrich Merz and Prime Minister Narendra Modi in January 2026, identifying education, research, and skills development at the heart of the bilateral strategic partnership. The discussions underscored the role of technology in democratizing quality education and equipping students to lead in an AI-driven economy.
Experimento India is backed by over 30 years of Pratham’s experience in working with children. The foundation has actively worked to bring technology to transform children’s learning experiences.
