The media portal of the Siemens Stiftung is now offering Spanish teaching materials
The Siemens Stiftung is constantly expanding the free content on its media portal. The English and German teaching materials have now been augmented to include Spanish content as well. By broadening the media portal’s multilingual content, the foundation aims to assist the work of instructors outside of Germany and at bilingual schools within Germany.
The media portal offers instructors and education students high-quality teaching materials not only in English and German but now also in Spanish. The over 2,000 individual media in the online database currently include some 70 Spanish-language downloadable media on the topics of “Hearing” and “Energy.”
This includes 53 media featuring explanations on the structure and function of the human ear, for example, and examining questions such as how tones are produced and when sound becomes noise. These materials are compiled in three instructional units on hearing, noise and the ear drum. The media package “Conservation of Energy and Efficiency: Heat Engines” is now also available in Spanish. Educators can use this content to teach students about the concept of energy through the illustrative examples of heat engines or the development of steam engines.
The materials are available as image and audio files, worksheets and flash graphics and are appropriate for use in various subjects and school types. Teachers will also find tips on how to integrate the media into their classroom instruction.
The Spanish media can be downloaded for free individually or in thematically grouped media packages that include fascinating and up-to-date media focusing on specific aspects of a particular field. To see an overview of Spanish media in just a few clicks, go to the media portal homepage and select the appropriate media language.
The introduction of Spanish media underscores the commitment of the Siemens Stiftung through its media portal to offer instructors in Germany and abroad a great diversity of languages and subject matter. The newly available Spanish media are intended to assist instructors outside of Germany and at bilingual schools within Germany in planning their lessons. New teaching materials in German and other languages are constantly being added to the media portal of the Siemens Stiftung.
