A new kiosk opens in Maragua, Kenya in November 2012: Prefinished modules make the safe water enterprises feasible even in remote areas. Sanitary containers keep the drinking water clean during transport.

A water kiosk in Githembe, Kenya. The SkyHydrant water filters clean up to 1,000 liters of water per hour. The social entrepreneurship approach provides business opportunities for the local population.
The safe water enterprises use mobile SkyHydrant water filters that employ microscopic membranes to remove suspended particles, bacteria and viruses from the water. Sanitary containers, which are also sold at the water kiosks, keep the water clean during transport.
