The Siemens Stiftung was successfully launched: On January 1st 2009 it began operations.

The first report on the activities of the Siemens Stiftung for the 2009 financial year informs you on the varied projects and also on the future objectives of the foundation. In this particular instance the report will cover the period from January to September 2009 (NB: The financial year normally runs from October 1st to September 30th of the following year.)

This year the foundation can only report on projects from its Education & Welfare area of activity as the two other focal areas Society & Technology and Arts & Culture were only formed at the start of the new financial year on October 1st 2009. During the period covered by the report the foundation was still under development.
