Organizers expect more than 2,200 visitors from over 90 countries to attend this year's Online Educa Conference, to be held in Berlin from December 2 to 4, 2009. This will be the 15th time the world's biggest international e-learning conference will attract leading decision makers from the worlds of education, business and public-sector institutions.
The official sponsor of this conference, which goes by the motto of "Innovation – Exchanges – Success”, is the German Federal Minister for Education and Research, Annette Schavan.
The extensive program of workshops, discussions and presentations will give the participants many opportunities to share their knowledge with others. In the exhibition area, more than 100 international manufacturers, vendors and service providers will showcase their latest offerings in the areas of technology-supported education and continuing education.
Having established an international reputation through its projects, the Siemens Stiftung will also be presenting its media portal for teachers at the Online Educa Conference. At the exhibition stand, interested visitors will be able to learn all about the Stiftung’s free offering of digital teaching materials. The media portal features a user interface in both English and German, as well as content in both languages. Educators from countries like Spain, Egypt, Russia, the United States and China have already discovered the advantages of these teaching materials, providing that the media portal is well suited for worldwide use.
