Human coexistence is a cultural achievement. That is why the Siemens Stiftung believes that strengthening existing, active cultural scenes an essential supplement to its development oriented work in the fields of basic needs and education.
Cultural expression helps define how a society develops. The cultural projects of the Siemens Stiftung seek to provide a space for these perspectives and open up fields of experimentation for examining the present. Central to this objective is the impact of art in society, the reflection of cultural identities, support to forms of dialogues and aesthetic education.
The foundation joins with its partners in initiating projects and platforms for international dialog and cultural knowledge-sharing, especially in the countries of Africa and Latin America.
