PANORAMA SUR
International Academy for Performing Arts to Hold its Second Four-Week Program in Buenos Aires, Argentinia
Panorama Sur offers emerging artists and cultural protagonists the opportunity to exchange, experiment and reflect on artistic practices and their anchoring in society.
Planned as an annual event the international working platform aims at fostering dialogue and collaboration between artists from Latin American countries with their structurally very different cultural scenes and promoting links with the interanational theater scene. The academy started developing in 2010 with the pilot project “Escena Sur”, initiated and organized jointly by the Siemens Stiftung and the Asociación para el Teatro Latinoamericano (THE). For this, now the second edition, it has been possible to extend both the program itself and the network of cooperating partners. 2011 year’s workspace has been extended to include a public program featuring guest theater performances from Europe and the Near East which highlight the void as their theme.
